Enjoy creating this trivet, embellished with elegant Dresden designs. This trivet
looks sophisticated and intricate – but this traditional quilting pattern has been
created for embroidery to be will be fun and effortless. You’ll learn how to
applique using your embroidery machine featuring two different techniques and
two different stabilizers or 505 Adhesive spray.
This project is compatible with any machine with an embroidery capability of 5.5” x 5.5”

SUPPLIES NEEDED

Fabrics:
. Background fabric (white in sample): ½ yard
o Cut - 4 pieces fabric 15” x 10” or large enough to hoop

. Appliqué Fabrics:
o Light Appliqué Fabric: 4 pieces fabric 2 1/2” x 4.5” light fabric
o Medium Appliqué Fabric: 4 pieces fabric 2 1/2” x 4.5” light fabric
o Dark Appliqué Fabric: 4 pieces fabric 2 1/2” x 4.5” light fabric
. Backing fabric: 12" square
. Binding fabric: 2 1/2” x width of fabric

Stabilizers:
• 4 pieces OESD HeavyWeight Tear Away 10” x 15” or large enough to hoop
• 6 pieces Applique Fuse & Fix 2 1/2” x 4.5”
• 6 pieces SoftWeb 2 1/2” x 4.5”

Notions:
• 2 pieces - 12” square Insul-Bright

Threads:
• Isacord thread in five colors (Colors for pictured version: 0015, 1805, 2655, 4220, 5730)
