Table Runner with Decorative Quilting Stitches
Join Gail in the one-day workshop making an easy table runner out of squares and learn to machine quilt and bind with the decorative stitches on your machine! Even if you have a basic model machine, many of the utility stitches can be altered to make beautiful looks for your creation. You'll select decorative threads and learn all the secrets to make a great project to grace your home.

- 21 five inch squares of fabric
- If you choose to add a border, you'll need approx 1/4 - 1/2yd
- 1/2 yard fabric for backing 1/4 yd fabric for binding
- 1/2 yard batting
- 40 or 50wt sewing thread for piecing. Neutral grey or tan is best.
- Curved safety pins for basting
- Decorative thread for machine quilting with decorative stitches. Gail will direct you for selection during class if desired. There is no need to buy this ahead of time.
- Machine quilting needles - size 90 - this may differ depending upon thread used
- Rotary cutter and mat (we have mats and rotary cutters for you to use, please reserve these in advance as well)
- Clear ruler for rotary cutting 6" x 24"
- 1/4" patchwork foot for sewing machine. (Bernins #37, #57, #97C or #97D)
- Open toed embroidery foot for decorative quilting stitches (Bernina #20, 20C, or 20D)
- Sewing machine, cord and foot pedal. You may reserve a classroom machine in advance by phoning 610 689 0068. If you are bringing your own machine, be sure to bring your machine manual.
